How to Use noteGRABBER (Quick Start)

1. See the Notes in Your Sample

• Load noteGRABBER as an effect on your sample
• Hit play → notes will automatically map out in real time
• Hover over notes to see detailed info
• Use the side piano to understand pitch

Helpful controls:

• Gain / Range → adjust brightness & thickness of notes
• Speed → control how fast notes appear (great for long/short samples)

⚠️ If nothing shows up: Make sure noteGRABBER is on the correct mixer/effect slot.

2. Choose the Notes You Want

This is where you build your idea.

• Turn Record OFF (required to select notes)
• Left-click + drag → draw in notes
• Right-click → delete notes
• Drag notes to adjust positioning
• Hit Reset to clear everything
• Click Preview to hear your pattern

💡 Note: noteGRABBER shows you the real notes — you stay in control (no guessing or wrong AI selections).

3. Drag Into Your DAW

• Click and hold Drag MIDI
• Drop it into your piano roll

Done. Now you’ve got a pattern that actually matches your sample.

Bonus Tools (For Speed)

quickGRAB

• Select multiple notes instantly
• Then clean up by removing what you don’t want

Shortcut:

• Hold CTRL + drag to select multiple notes → press Delete

Zoom

• Hover over piano roll + scroll up/down to zoom
• Makes editing faster and more precise

Extra Controls

• Grid Toggle → show/hide timing lines
• Preview Sound → switch between piano, synth, or silent

DAW Preview

• ON → plays your pattern when DAW plays
• OFF → normal DAW playback

⚠️ Turn DAW Preview OFF when done or it will keep triggering.
